After this semester, I will spend my time in China.  I hope I can pass the TOEFL test, which is on December 15.  Until now, I still do not reach my goals. My goals are to pass the TOEFL and to evolve in University.  My next goal, of course, is to get the Master Degree.

Topics #8: Senses

If I had to lose one of my five senses, I would prefer to lose hearing.   With no hearing I can accept because hearing is less important in five senses. Losing touching you would not feel pain, losing sight you cannot see any obstacles in your front, losing smelling you cannot distinguish different odors, and losing tasting you cannot taste diverse flavors; thus, I choose hearing for some reasons unimportant.

                First advantage to lose hearing is I do not need to learn English here.  At lease, I do not need to learn listening.

                Second, losing hearing will keep you in quiet environment. I can do anything without noise disturbing. For example, when my teacher came into class and turned on the alarm, the teacher from next classroom came out two times for asking to turn off the alarm.

                Third, I would not endure people’s complaint and blame if I did something wrong.  Meanwhile, because I lost hearing, people will forgive me.

                In short, losing hearing has more benefit than losing other senses.

Topic #7: If Internet Un-invented

Everyone in my class uses internet everyday for chatting and almost all the students of CSUF have to check their syllabus and assignments online.  Moreover, most international students use the internet to keep in touch with their families and they look for references for their essay which their teacher gave.

      Can you imagine if the internet was not invented? Would our lives be different? First, we have to use cell phone to contact friends, but we seem to pay more money for the bill. Second, students have to write assignments on their papers. Third, we have to go to library to search for references. The last one is obvious that you have to pay more for contacting your families.

       Personally I hate the internet.  If I forget to check my assignment or confirm the assignment I submit, then I will lose my points with the late assignment. Furthermore, I do not need to write blogger online.  Next is that I prefer to write letter to my family and friends. I will be happy when I received a letter from my family.  Maybe you disagree, but when you use internet to talk to your family, you do feel surprise and happy of expectation. 

       Indeed, I rather internet was not invented although the internet makes our life easier than before.

Topic #6: If I can Go Back 1970

            I really want to go back and witness many important events, but I do not want to go alone.  If I came back from the past and told what I saw, people would not believe me; thus I will bring someone with me to witness what we argue with.  If I have a child and want to teach him/her not to waster food, I will bring him/her to go back to 1970 when people had a rough life.  In 1970, China had a severe dry weather, which I heard more than seven years had no raining.  Many people could not harvest crop, and many people were starved. I think this case is due to the lack of irrigation and transportation technique. If this had happened in nowadays, many people would have survived. Actually, I do want to change the past because I can save many people’s lives. Nevertheless, I cannot go back, and I cannot alter history. So sad am I.

Topic #5 Annoying Sprinkler

      Nowadays, an often broke sprinkler is annoying me. That there is a sprinkler nearby the corner often dropped off the side of road or broke.  Today morning when I left to school, I found the sprinkler is broken again. I feel upset.  I already fixed it more than four times before. I even bought a new one instead of the old one. I guess maybe the gardener broke it when they trimmed the grass, or some children kicked it broken when they walked to school. However, I have to fix it again. This case is very annoying me because the plenty water come out will affect people who walk through. I am thinking how to secret the sprinkler. Indeed, I need to stop it.

I am not beautiful/handsome, but I choose to change nothing if I have a chance…

I thought a whole class, and I cannot figure out what I need to change.  If I changed my physical appearance, I would be in serious trouble.  People will confuse whether I called Homer.  As a result, I have to change all my document, such as passport, drive license, Titan card, etc.  I do not want to have a famous face, and I am just I. Furthermore, if I had a defective physical appearance, I would not to change my appearance. In addition, in Chinese culture change appearance will dishonor my parents and our big families. This is my distinctive appearance, and I will permanently keep it therefore. 

May be if my face were burned, then I would change my appearance. Nowadays, change skin technology is advanced, so this will be easy for me to change my face skin.

Having no idea, I can only do is to keep it.  Sorry to my dear teacher and classmates.

Topic #3 Learning Language

        I will choose scarce language. Also most of people will choose powerful language.  I will choose the language of undeveloped country.  I grow up in undeveloped countryy, and I understand the condition I underwent. Now I am studying in the U.S. so I can use my knowledge to help them.  Indeed, I will enjoy helping uneducated children.
